The Customer Experience - We Treat You Like a Pro

Whats it like to buy a bat from us? Well, its not like going into a high street shop for a start. All our bats are made to order. That means you can design your own specification, or if you have a bat you love that's at the end of its life, send it to us and we'll make you an identical new one. All at the prices you see in our shop.

So what are the variables if you don't have a bat you want copying ?

First of all, we will ask you about the profile you want. Modern bats can be made with infinite variation. Some players like monster edges, others like all the weight in a small sweet spot, or perhaps spread evenly up the spine. The 'middle' for players in the UK where most wickets are slow and low, tends to best placed toward the bottom third of the blade. If you play on hard, fast wickets in Australia, you probably want a 'higher' middle on your bat.

Next is weight. Current trends are for lighter bats which enable a wider range of scoring shots, but everyone is different. We have produced bats from a feather weight 2' 6 up to monster 2'14 examples.

The combination of profile and weight combine to produce the magic 'pick up' feel of your bat. Our bat maker, Tim, has 35 years of experience getting the right balance between weight and profile to optimise the feel of your bat.

Other options include short and long bladed bats. A long blade might suit a taller batsman and enable a straighter stance. A short blade on the other hand can be a useful way of getting more 'meat' in the middle of a bat without increasing the weight. Joe Root uses a short blade bat by the way.

Most of our customers like a short handle, but long handles are available, as are double thick twine handles or ovaled handles to help avoid bat twist on impact.

As you can see, we treat all of our customers as individuals - you get the bat you want for a price you like. Contact us today to discuss your bat spec. And remember, all this for less than the price of a standard 'off the shelf' bat.
